Ken has been working as an illustrator for over
20 years. Inspired by the natural artistic
talent of his late grandfather, Ken decided to
pursue a career as an artist.
Upon graduating from the Spectrum Institute for
the Advertising Arts in Hillsborough, NJ, where
he majored in illustration, Ken spent his first
few professional years working for companies
with in-house art departments.
Since striking out on his own in 1985, Ken has
created drawings and paintings for a wide range
of magazine and book publishers. His work is
seen in trade magazines, school books, paperback
books, children's magazines and children's
books.
Living at the heart of the New Jersey Shore with
his wife Diane and their two children, Ken has
been involved with local Little League and AAU
youth baseball. Currently, he spends a lot of
his free time coaching kids in local junior
tennis programs and is a member of the USTA.
Although well versed in a variety of subject
matter, Ken's love of the ocean and outdoor
sports show up quite often in his work.
